Sharon Sallmen

Sharon was diagnosed with Dyslexia at the age of six by her first grade teacher. After a minimal amount of one-on-one training in the Language Arts, she was able to succeed in the classroom with little continued help. However, when her son and daughter received similar diagnosis, she decided to obtain further instruction on how to teach Dyslexic children. Sharon has been tutoring young people with similar learning challenges since 2014. She is currently working with students at Milford Christian Academy as well as local home-schoolers as a Dyslexic Specialist. It is her goal to help others understand the unique needs of children with Dyslexia.

Jerry Sexton
Representative - Bearing Precious Seed

Bro. Jerry Sexton had the privilege of growing up at First Baptist Church. His family joined in 1975. Bro. Jerry graduated kindergarten at Milford Christian Academy that next fall in 1976 and spent the rest of his school years at Milford Christian Academy until graduation in 1988. Following a revival meeting with Dr. B. R. Lakin, Bro. Jerry accepted Christ as his personal Saviour when he was 13. During the FBC missions conference in 1987, the Lord gripped Bro. Sexton’s heart and he surrendered his life to Him. The following year, once again during the missions conference, the Lord called him to preach. Bro. Sexton graduated in 1991 from First Baptist’s School of the Scriptures, and again in 2000 with a master’s degree. He and his wife Kim moved to Kentucky after graduation, and Bro. Sexton served as an assistant pastor for 2 years. In 1994, Bro. Sexton led his family to southern Indiana to help with a church plant and serve as an assistant pastor, youth pastor, and school administrator until 2005. During a missions trip in 2004 to Mexico with his youth group, God broke Bro. Sexton’s heart for the need for His Word in the lives of those that have never had a personal copy. He resigned his position there at the church in Indiana and surrendered to the Lord’s call to become a full-time missionary representative for Bearing Precious Seed in March of 2005.

Keith Smith

Pastor Smith joined the staff of Pine Bluff in 1989 where he served as Youth Pastor and Director of Venture of Faith Camp for fifteen years before becoming Senior Pastor in 2005. While serving as Director of VFC, Bro. Keith had the opportunity to travel and preach in churches all over the southeast. As time allows and wherever the Lord leads, he still enjoys speaking and encouraging churches. As a part of his first love in the pastorate, he is passionate about mentoring and training young people for the ministry. The venue of a summer camp allows Bro. Smith to continue to have an impact on the next generation of the church. Keith and his high school sweetheart, Kim, were married after graduating from Pensacola Christian College. In 2019, they celebrated thirty years serving at Pine Bluff as well as thirty years of blissful marriage! Keith and Kim are blessed with three daughters, two sons-in-law, and one incredibly adorable grandson. Keith and Kim enjoy kayaking, traveling, gardening, college football and spending time with their family.
