We serve the Lord in the midst of a very litigious society. Lawsuits are being hurled at ministries all the time. Often we discover that if simple measures were taken beforehand, a lawsuit would have never been filed in the first place. During this helpful session with a CLA attorney, leaders will learn how to be proactive with their people, policies, and practices and avoid the dreaded declaration, “I’m going to sue you.”

Face it. There is no doubt that you will face the “sticks and stones” that people hurl while you sincerely follow Christ and lead others. How will you respond to these words? How will you react to the opposition? While many of us would like to duck, throw the sticks back, or pile up the stones to build a fortress, there are biblical principles to dealing with opposition that all of us need. Join us for an encouraging session that will give proper responses to what all of us face in ministry.

Do we fail young people by minimizing the importance of the miraculous change God conducts in the identity of every believer? Do we consider the concept of "new creature" literally? What if young people recognized who they truly are "in Christ" at a younger age? The Identity in Christ workshop poses these questions and more as we examine what God's Word says about who we are in Him.

The Bible is the Word of God! It is God’s revelation about Himself, His will, and His plan for mankind. It is the heart of God communicated in the vehicle of three specific languages – Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. God chose the written word as an eternal vehicle of revelation. The Psalmist declared that the God of heaven has magnified His word above His name.(Ps 138:2) God has exalted His written revelation to a level of eternal preeminence and yet the willful ignorance of the Word of God and its original languages among believers is shocking. Instead of endearing believer’s hearts to the Biblical languages we have created a vacuum of complacency. There are people groups all over the world who do not have a copy of the Scriptures in their native tongue. We desperately need translations of the Bible but before we can have translations we must have translators. Where will these translators come from? Do we really want the lost world providing translators? Do we really want the liberal denominations who do not even believe in the authority of Scripture filling this void? The answer is a resounding No! Fundamental Independent Baptist must take up this banner. We must fill this void by equipping the next generation with the knowledge of Biblical languages and a love for the Word of God.

The main focus of this session is targeting the home of the youth pastor. All too often we are programmed to present ourselves in public one way, but can live a totally different life in private - where it matters most - in the HOME! However, we will cover other relationships we encounter. We will cover the relationship with the pastor, fellow staff members, and youth workers.

Without these, we will never realize the vision or have a team loyal enough to make it happen. Most visitors and converts are lost because of the lack of these two vital parts. Without a process to measure spiritual growth in any ministry, we are only guessing.
