Learn how to teach children using “old school but not out-dated” highly effective flannel graph, integrated with visual aids and object lessons. These are great tools to help children remember the truths of God's Word, keep their attention, and ultimately maintain control of children of all ages. This session is a primer for “Proper Techniques and Examples of Using Visual Aids and Object Lessons in Children's Ministry”. Attend both sessions to receive the full impact of the training.

Master Clubs, a children’s discipleship program through Master Ministries, is headquartered right here at First Baptist Church. Each year churches across the country contact us to learn about Master Clubs but much of this communication is done through e-mail or phone conversation. If your church is interested in starting a children’s discipleship program, or if you are seeking to switch from AWANA or another well-known program, please join Director Daniel Jessup for a very informative session that will give delegates answers to questions such as, “What makes Master Clubs different from all other children’s discipleship programs?” or “How can our church switch from our current program and use Master Clubs?” If you are at the LLC specifically for the Master Clubs training track then this would be an excellent session to begin your weekend!

Workshop Livestreamed Getting God’s Word to the world in their mother language is a good work, but it is MUCH, MUCH MORE than that. It is a command from God! God gave very clear, exact instructions concerning the handling, protection, and preservation of His Word. After all, it is the most vivid introduction and description of Himself for all of mankind that exists on this side of glory. Let’s take a look at His plan and how He allows us to be involved in it.

Over the years, we started to notice a trend among the kids who rode in on our buses: once they hit 7th grade, they stopped coming. Because of this, we began praying about how we could continue to effectively minister to those children once they graduated from the Kids Ministry. Through a series of changes and opportunities geared specifically for the teenagers in our bus ministry, we have been able to see God do some amazing things! This workshop will cover how you can go from losing to leading the teenagers in your bus ministry.

Workshop Livestreamed Opening the 10/40 Window is an exciting curriculum written by firstBible International to teach children about Unreached People groups in the 10/40 Window. The sessions will be a demonstration of how to present the curriculum in a classroom context. The curriculum is based on the Zhuang people of China. During the first hour, we will introduce the Zhuang people, explore their geography, and learn about their religion. Each individual lesson is informative, interactive, and ends with a biblical worldview. The second hour we will learn about their culture and language. The culmination of the curriculum is called Language Day, giving the students an opportunity to share what they have learned with other students, teachers, administration, and parents. Over the past five years, we have been teaching this curriculum as a pilot program to the elementary students at our school (Milford Christian Academy). It has been greatly accepted and has motivated teachers and students alike to continue learning about their people group, actively praying for them. If there is one element you could add to your children’s ministry that would train biblical, mission-minded students for all levels of ministry, Opening the 10/40 Window would be it!

In classroom children’s ministry everyone of us needs to set boundaries – but are they right? This session will give you excellent ideas on appropriate boundaries that will ensure success. We will include such issues as “setting the stage” in the classroom and give good and bad examples of discipline.

The possibilities are endless! The work is rewarding and the relationships built through a ladies' ministry are life changing. In part one we will learn how to build the kind of foundation that supports a thriving, successful ministry. The secret to the success of my rose garden (250 roses!) isn't in what I do AFTER the bush is planted. The roses flourish because of the unique way they are planted at the very beginning! The same principle applies to women's ministries of any kind. We will learn what crucial elements make the difference between future success and failure. In part two we will explain the nuts and bolts of building on the foundation, and talk about ideas that I hope will stir your imagination and lead to ideas of your own! We will be using a PowerPoint presentation and reproducible classroom handouts. Women who attend BOTH part one and part two will receive a demonstration gift.
