Debi Pryde

Role: Biblical Counselor for Women

Debi Pryde has been counseling for many years and has a burden to teach and equip other women in ministry to counsel. The principles of counseling she teaches are based on the complete sufficiency of Scripture and do not follow the modern trend of compromising biblical truth with secular psychology. Debi is a certified biblical counselor and has served as a Christian school administrator. She has taught many women’s Bible studies, and she has authored a counseling guide and several women’s Bible study books. Debi travels throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia teaching her “Women Counseling Women” curriculum to pastors’ wives, missionaries, counselors, teachers and mothers alike, preparing them to help those they encounter in this troubled world with sound biblical solutions.

The possibilities are endless! The work is rewarding and the relationships built through a ladies' ministry are life changing. In part one we will learn how to build the kind of foundation that supports a thriving, successful ministry. The secret to the success of my rose garden (250 roses!) isn't in what I do AFTER the bush is planted. The roses flourish because of the unique way they are planted at the very beginning! The same principle applies to women's ministries of any kind. We will learn what crucial elements make the difference between future success and failure. In part two we will explain the nuts and bolts of building on the foundation, and talk about ideas that I hope will stir your imagination and lead to ideas of your own! We will be using a PowerPoint presentation and reproducible classroom handouts. Women who attend BOTH part one and part two will receive a demonstration gift.

Anyone who works with children and teens in any ministry capacity need to know how to identify children who are being mistreated, why abuse and molestation is so devastating, and what can be done to prevent long term problems. Most importantly, Christian workers need to know how to minister to these young people in a way that will lead them to the Great Healer of human hearts. Part one will address what it is, why it happens and what it looks like. In part two we will discuss the aftermath of abuse and how to handle it as well as specific ways workers can facilitate healing. We will be using a PowerPoint presentation and reproducible classroom handouts. Women who attend BOTH part one and two will receive a copy of the booklet "Why Me?"
