Simply regurgitating facts about a topic or listing dates and names on a quiz or test used to be considered effective testing. However, research has proven that this type of academic assessment is not nearly as insightful as narrative writing. This session will highlight the "storytelling" technique that can be employed to gain a much clearer picture of what a young person really knows about a particular topic.
