Navigating a Church Crisis
Location: FBC B23
Storms are common. Tornadoes are rare. It's best to learn what to do before they come. A crisis doesn't happen very often in the life of a church; but when it does, it has the potential to utterly destroy everything. This session is aimed at helping pastors navigate high-profile crises that can fall upon the church.
Tension in the Team
Location: FBC 210
We've all felt it. Some level of tension, friction, disagreement, or even conflict begins to form between partners in ministry. Left unaddressed, the work can be hindered, unity can be lost, and relationships can be fractured. This session focuses on resolving various interpersonal tensions that can arise in the unique church ministry context.
Injury and Ministry
Location: FBC 210
If you play any sport long enough and passionately enough, there will be some injuries. Some will be small, incidental, and only need a band aid; some will be big, detrimental, and require a hospital. Unfortunately, the ministry is no different. This session will try to offer God's aid to the various hurts that often come in His work.
Children's Worker Discussion Panel
Location: FBC B24
Join Bob Mann, Chris Chavez, Kim Ketchum and Mike Holmes as they discuss practical tips and helps for those involved in serving in Children's Ministry. This will be a group discussion / Q&A time, so come ready to be involved in the conversation!
Biblical Leadership: A Working Definition
Location: FBC Auditorium
What is the Bible's definition of leadership? Leadership is often described with words like influence, service, empowerment, and ability. While these ideas may help, they don't actually define leadership. Leaders can't lead scripturally if they can't term it scripturally. This session will give a Bible-filled, working definition that will change the way you lead.
