Application and Action: Giving an Effective Invitation
Location: The Hangar
The Lord Jesus Christ was more than a great Teacher; He was the great Inviter. Those who teach and preach the truth must aim for the heart and appeal to the will. God's Word always calls for faith and obedience. Join us as we examine the theology of the invitation and discuss principles for persuading hearers to become doers of the Word.
Dynamic Hymn Playing
Location: FBC B10
Hymn playing isn’t just hitting the right notes, or lots of them—it’s about leading God’s people in vibrant, meaningful worship. In this session, Micah will share practical techniques for bringing life, clarity, and energy to your hymn playing. From thoughtful introductions to creative filler motifs, you’ll discover ways to enhance congregational singing and serve your church with excellence.
Making the Most of your Short-term Mission Trip
Location: FBC B23
Healthy short-term trips can produce long-term impact on the field and transform participants. This session will address the many ways church members can gain a global perspective from a short-term mission trip. Additionally, we will discuss some of the pitfalls of short-term work and how to protect our teams from doing more harm than good. Join us as we discuss how a trip of culturally and spiritually prepared participants can ignite a mission passion among your church members, rally future missionaries, and launch long-term ministries around the globe.
Marriage in Full-Time Ministry
Location: FBC B24
When you’re in ministry -- any ministry -- your marriage can easily get pushed to the back burner. This session will focus on how to protect, nurture, and enjoy your marriage while serving in the calling God has given you.
Peanuts, Popcorn, and Purity
Location: FH 6
This is a "Cracker Jack" session designed to help Master Club workers, Sunday School teachers, and parents learn "Ten Tips to Prevent Tears" in training our youth of today and adults in the importance of remaining pure in our lives. Just POP right into this session to help you help others face today's society with a Christian perspective of PURITY. The goal in this workshop is for participants to "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in PURITY." (I Timothy 4:12)
Preparing World Changers for a Changing World
Location: FBC 214
The world in which our children are growing up today is not the same world that you and I grew up in. The world is changing, and the faith of children will be challenged. In this session, we will look closely at several world changers in the Bible and see the fundamental principles that young people must be taught to become world changers.
Preschoolers Can Learn
Location: FH 5
Preschoolers are capable of learning far more than we expect of them. You can help them learn when you understand how to use practical teaching tips that will gain their attention and get them involved in the lesson. As they apply what they have learned, you have helped them build a foundation for continued learning.
Responding to Abuse Allegations of Any Type
Location: FBC Auditorium
This seminar provides crucial legal insights into mandatory reporting obligations, equipping your ministry to respond effectively to suspected abuse. Learn how comprehensive staff and volunteer training in your child abuse prevention policy creates a safe haven for children and strengthens your ministry's foundation.
Super Songs & Games on the Church Bus
Location: FBC B14
Use these songs on the bus that include choruses, echoes, posters, visuals, and even some fun and silly songs to add variety and excitement to the bus ride. Also, hear about games and contests that work well on a bus and add some fun to the ride.
Turning Benchwarmers into Players
Location: The Landing
I recently ran across startling information from a survey involving 5,000 pastors. The question presented to these pastors was, “What is the greatest need for strengthening the local church?” Of the 25 possible responses, 98% of the pastors surveyed selected “getting people involved in ministry” as their first or second choice. It is sad that our churches are filled with spiritual spectators instead of participants!
