Learn how to foster genuine relationships and meaningful connections, even as society shifts toward digital and impersonal interactions. This session will help you cultivate a “rural heart” that thrives in an urbanized world.
All the Children of the World – Making Much of Missions in the Classroom
Location: FH 5
Why the nations? This session will not only address the need to teach our young people missions at an early age, but also to establish the motivation behind an “all nations” heart-beat. By piquing interest in your students of God’s global mission, you are better able to establish the priority of His glory among all peoples of the earth. When we, as influencers in the classroom, grasp that God’s desire is to be known and glorified among all nations of the earth, we have attached ourselves to a magnificent thought and an obligation to shape our teachings according to our findings. Practical suggestions are given in how to make much of missions in the lives of children. All the Children of the World will encourage us to see the world through the lens of an all-inclusive kaleidoscope of ethnic groups, languages, and cultures and to incorporate it into our classrooms.

Taking Kids into Combat: How to be in Ministry without Your Children Becoming Collateral Damage
Location: FBC B24
Paul admonished Timothy to war a good warfare and to fight the good fight. He challenged him to endure hardness as a good soldier. He warned him that a soldier does not entangle himself with the affairs of this life so that he might please the one that enlisted him. This instruction may be well and good for parents, but what about the kids that accompany them onto the battlefield? What happens to them? In this session we will deal with the issues, challenges, opportunities, risks, and rewards faced by children growing up in a ministry family. We will look at what God promises — and what He doesn’t promise — to parents who want to know that their kids will be okay if they follow Him into battle. We will also look at practical steps that parents can take, not only to keep their children from becoming collateral damage but also to leverage their battlefield circumstance into a valuable asset for their children’s present and future growth.
The SON Knows When to Set!
Location: FH 6
Just as winter occurs when the hemisphere is tilted away from the sun, tough times in our lives arrive when we, too, are "tilted" away from the SON. Our seasons of life are determined by our alignment of the SON with us. In today's society, as Christian workers, we have a strong desire to serve the Lord with everything we have, but we can easily get discouraged by being so busy with the wrong priorities that we have difficulty focusing on what really matters in life. This workshop is designed to help Christian workers to learn how to stay encouraged through all the seasons of life if we just remember that the SON knows when to set!
