Accompanying Children’s Choirs from the Hymnal

Have you ever had to create a simple kids’ program from scratch or adapt an existing one? Using the hymnal in your children’s program is a wonderful way to expand your options and introduce young singers to the rich hymns of the faith from an early age. In this workshop, you’ll learn practical ways to adapt classic hymns to fit children’s ranges and abilities. We’ll also explore how to arrange a hymn with tasteful introductions and simple accompaniment patterns that are manageable for the average church pianist. Whether you’re new to children’s choirs or simply looking for fresh ideas, this session will give you the confidence to turn the hymnal into a valuable resource for your next children’s program.

Master Clubs Leader Training - Part 1

Join us as we do a condensed version of our leader training. In this session we will discuss the purpose of Master Clubs, planning your club night, what goes in to Rally Time, Bible Time and Book Time. We will also look at membership requirements for each group and our approach to scripture memory. We will finish the session off with a Q&A.
